Asylum/Deportation/Removal
ASYLUM
An individual
can request asylum from the United States if that person is persecuted or has a well found fear of future persecution in their
home country because of his or her political beliefs, religious beliefs, ethnicity, race, or social affiliations.
The Firm has sought and obtained asylum for clients from all over the world, including Iran, Iraq, China, Honduras,
El Salvador, Vietnam, Mauritania, Somalia, Uganda, Senegal, Kenya, Cuba, India, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo
and Pakistan. Maintaining up-to-date resources documenting instances of persecution throughout the world, the Firm uses these
resources to supplement the testimony of its clients both in applications filed with the United States Citizenship and Immigration
Service and before the Immigration Judge in deportation hearings. Before each interview or hearing, an attorney fully prepares
the client assembling all.
DEPORTATION/REMOVAL
For the past 20 years,
the Firm has been representing clients before the Immigration Judge in matters ranging from deportation and exclusion to removal
proceedings. In addition to contesting the grounds for deportation, the Firm has sought other forms of appropriate relief
such as cancellation of removal and waiver of crimes. The Firm has also reached negotiated settlements with the United States
Immigration and Customs Enforcement 's Chief Counsel in order to apply for relief or to obtain adequate time for voluntary
departure.
